Celebrate a beautiful first year with a cake designed for big smiles and keepsake photos. Choose flavors the whole family loves, then select a color palette—soft blush, sky blue, lavender, or neutrals—to match balloons and décor. We’ll help you size tiers to your guest list and provide a simple cutting guide so serving is tidy and stress-free.

Personal touches make the moment memorable. Add a slim name topper, a number “1,” or a short message on the base for a sweet reveal at candle time. Prefer a minimal look? Smooth buttercream with a delicate border keeps the silhouette clean while still feeling festive. For extra texture, consider gentle ridges, confetti sprinkling, or a tiny bow detail to echo the party theme.

Planning photos? Chill the cake before transport and let it rest at room temperature before slicing—this keeps the finish pristine and every bite soft and flavorful. Hosting at a park or play space? We’ll include quick care notes for warm days and simple tips for easy slicing on the go.

Round out the dessert table with coordinating cupcakes or cookies so guests can enjoy a handheld treat while the centerpiece gets its photo moment. If you’re assembling favor boxes, minis in matching colors make adorable send-offs.

For a joyful, personal touch, many families love adding the phrase happy birthday gianna cake on signage or a keepsake plaque; it ties your details together and looks lovely in photos you’ll revisit for years. From the first reveal to the last crumb, this first-birthday design is crafted to be charming, delicious, and wonderfully you.

CAKE CARE
Keep your cake looking as good as it tastes!

HANDLING YOUR CAKE
Keep your cake box level with one hand on the bottom. This will prevent the layers from shifting and the sides of the box from denting your cake.

DRIVING WITH YOUR CAKE
Transport your cake in the flattest part of your vehicle. Do not place your cake on a seat as this may cause the layers to shift, or in an enclosed trunk without airflow. Please drive carefully with no sudden stops that may cause your cake to move. Our cakes are fragile, drive cautiously!

STORING YOUR CAKE
Your cake is delicate and sensitive to heat. The real butter we use in our frostings make our cakes more likely to melt in warm temperatures. Keep your cake cool by refrigerating it until 1 hour prior to serving. Do not freeze.
Do not let your cake sit out for more than two hours, or overnight. It may melt.

LEFTOVER CAKE
Extra cake?! Lucky, you have a sweet snack for the next day :). Simply store your leftover cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to seven days. To freeze your cake, cover any open slices in parchment paper to preserve moisture and then wrap the entire cake as tightly as possible in plastic wrap. Next, put the plastic-wrapped cake in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 3 months.
